Dear Action Line:

I recently received a recorded message from a company offering me a great deal on cleaning all the carpets in my house. It must be the season for this because I’ve also received two different fliers in my screen door from companies offering me discounted prices on both individual rooms and whole house options. My carpets do need cleaning, but the last time I had someone do them it took nearly a week before they felt dry. My mother says all companies are the same, but I am not so sure. Is there any way to guarantee I get a good deal and quality work?
